The Association of Portuguese Competition Lawyers (Círculo dos Advogados Portugueses de Direito da Concorrência-CAPDC), established on 3 March 2009, by 14 lawyers, from 14 law firms, brings together Competition Law experts.

Pursuant to its Articles of Association the CAPDC has as its essential objective to promote the study, knowledge, debate and the dissemination of topics related to competition law, regarding its economic and legal aspects, on the assumption that defending competition is an instrument of economic development, of social progress and consumer protection. To this end the Association intends, in particular, to:

Mission and Objectives

  • Organise meetings, seminars, conferences, colloquiums and/or training;
  • Publish studies, monographs and/or other pieces of investigation and publication, within the ambit of its scope;
  • Cooperate with similar associations and public or private, national or international entities in the field of competition law;
  • Join other similar national or international organisations;
  • Undertake other initiatives related to its objectives.
